Work Experience
My integrative perspective was shaped early on, as my journey into this work began years ago in psychiatric facilities, where I served as a master's level music therapist across acute inpatient, long-term inpatient, day treatment/partial hospitalization, and outpatient programs. Driven to deepen my practice, I returned to school in 1999, earning a Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology followed by a Doctorate in Transpersonal Psychology with a Clinical Emphasis in 2006. I have worked within a private practice model since 2002—first under clinical supervision and then as an independently licensed clinical psychologist. I opened my private music therapy practice in 2011 and my independent psychology practice in 2015.
In addition to my clinical work, I was core faculty for ten years at the California Institute of Integral Studies, in the Expressive Arts Therapy program. I taught family therapy, couples therapy, research methods, and music therapy along with other courses. I am also an Assistant Trainer in GIM with Therapeutic Arts Institute.
